Retroreflective Blue Taxiway Edgemarkers are used to outline the edges of runways and taxiways for small, low activity, general aviation airports. All airport Taxiway Edgemarkers utilize 3M High-Intensity reflective sheeting for increased visibility. The 2-1/4" posts are made of co-extruded polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors for superior corrosion resistance and durability.
Taxiway Edgemarkers can be installed on asphalt, concrete, fire hydrants or in soil. The runway-taxiway markers utilize only high strength plastic fasteners for long term performance. This, combined with the self restoring nature of the marker, helps keep life cycle costs among the lowest in the industry. All U.S. Barricades Taxiway edge markers are FAA compliant and made in the United States.
The following posts were FAA Advisory Circular 150/5345-39C compliant. This Advisory Circular has been revised from Rev C to Rev D. There are exceptions at General Aviation Airports that will allow for their use. If you would like to continue to use this older FAA style, please contact your local FAA agent or airport representative to determine if your airfield qualifies for this type of L-853 Marker.
